The Senegalese Market

Senegal is just beginning to see local markets explode as they have just expanded their energy markets – both petroleum and electricity are now active industries. As a result, Senegal is expected to grow rapidly in sustainable energy technologies. Senegal’s exports rose 6.6% in 2018, especially with industries related to petroleum, energy, and mining products. Top trading partners include China, India, France, and Spain.

There are also significant opportunities in food processing, chemical production, waste management, telecommunications and technology, agriculture and aquaculture, construction, and more.

Follow-up Post-Mission

As often is the case, the relationships and potential business deals in the works during a business visit sometimes go “cold” after participants return home. Without boots on the ground to see things through, oftentimes the opportunities gained can be lost. Expat Africa 360 offers a follow-up service post-mission for interested participants, to be their representative on the ground after they’ve returned home. We can attend follow-up meetings on their behalf, provide meeting summary reports, as well as deliver and collect documentation for up to 3-months after the mission.

Our intention is to create a unique experience for those who are new in African markets and those who are veterans, which will be worth their time and investment. Many business visits focus on top-level interactions with government agencies, or attendance of local conferences. We wholeheartedly believe that success comes from maximizing face-to-face interactions on the ground, and to make sure matchmaking is deliberate and relevant for Delegates.
